NEW! In line with the publication of the Law Society Practice Note, we have added a Heat Stress analysis to ClimateCheck™
What is Heat Stress?
Heat Stress refers to the potential for the accumulation of excessive heat in buildings. Excessive heat can create uncomfortable conditions for occupants, and make sleeping particularly difficult. In extreme cases, Heat Stress can exacerbate health concerns. What does the new Heat Stress section deliver?
Based on an aggregated model from the Met Office, the new Heat Stress section offers clients an indication of the following at a local level (1km):
- the potential Change in Peak Annual Temperature at 2050; and
- the potential change in the number of days which would qualify as 'Heatwave Days' under Met Office temperature thresholds at 2050.
